Design Technology

The vision for the design department is one where students will be encouraged to achieve, through an enjoyable and innovative curriculum.  Students are challenged to become independent learners using enquiry based learning and student centered investigations allowing them to generate creative design solutions to real life problems using a variety of techniques, materials, tools and equipment.

With outstanding specialist subject knowledge and the use of cutting edge technology, we inspire students to be creative and successful within our safe and secure environment.  Our innovative learners are encouraged to consider the social, moral and cultural aspects of today’s society, preparing them for work in the fast paced and ever changing  Design, Construction, Engineering, Health & Social Care and Hospitality industries.
