We are in!!!
After 4 years of waiting we are delighted to announce the opening of our new school building. During the first week of September we were able to move across our teaching and learning resources as well a wide range of specialist equipment. The reaction from all students, staff, parents and visitors has been universaly positive. The new school has larger rooms with new furniture, the corridors are wider and are flooded with natural light making the areas feel open and bright. With the new school being smaller it is easier and quicker to mover around and all the additional insulation means we have a warm and quiet environment to learn in.
On Friday 9th September we welcomed Sir John Hall, as an ex student of Bedlington Grammar School, to officialy open the new building. Sir John was very impressed with the high quality of the classrooms and learning spaces and he joined Ian Lavery MP and a host of guests from past Headteahers to local councillors in congratulating the school on this major acheivement and the positive support it will give our current and future learners.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Galliford Try who have worked tirelessly to deliver the school to a very high standard and on time.
The New Build Gallery has a range of photographs showing the new school and all its facilities.
